Carpenter Helper / Construction Laborer Gresham General Contracting - Gresham, OR Gresham General Contracting is looking for a dependable Carpenter Helper / Laborer to join our team. We work on a wide variety of residential construction projects throughout the Portland and East County area, ranging from small remodels and repairs to full ground-up construction. Our work is heavily focused on exterior trades including framing, siding, roofing, windows, doors, decks, and general carpentry. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, wants to learn the construction trade, and takes pride in producing quality work. Responsibilities Assist carpenters and lead installers on residential construction projects Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment Perform jobsite cleanup and maintain a safe, organized work area Assist with framing, siding, roofing, window and door installation, decking, and exterior repairs Measure, cut, and install materials under supervision Demolition and site preparation for remodel projects Operate basic hand and power tools safely Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship Qualifications Must be 18+ Construction experience preferred but not required Positive attitude and willingness to learn Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and scaffolding Basic knowledge of construction tools is a plus Valid driver's license preferred What We're Looking For We're a small company, so versatility matters.
