Position Summary The Carpenter / Assembler is responsible for wood frame construction, foam application, electrical and plumbing assembly. What You Will Do- Cut, shape, and install wood framing.
- Assemble mechanical parts of various sizes.
- Read and understand blueprints.
- Use hand and power tools safely and properly.
- Be detail oriented.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Safely operate forklift and crane to load and unload material and move completed parts.
- Follow all standard safety regulations and support process improvement activities.
- Meet or exceed expected production rates.
- Perform other duties as assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. What You Will Need to Be Successful
- Familiarity with blueprints and inspection equipment (calipers and measuring tape)
- Carpentry experience: 1 year
- Electrical experience: 1 year
- Plumbing experience: 1 year
- Refrigeration experience: 1 year
- Manufacturing experience: 1 year
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for 8 hours per day.
