Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking experienced and motivated Lead Carpenters and Skilled Laborers to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will oversee and execute a variety of carpentry and construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Your leadership will guide a team of skilled workers, coordinate with project managers, and maintain a focus on safety and craftsmanship throughout all phases of construction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from remodeling and restoration to new builds, while honing your expertise in multiple facets of the construction industry. Responsibilities Lead carpenters must be able to work independently and be able to guide skilled laborers Skilled laborers must be able to assist carpenters in completing construction projects Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications Perform advanced carpentry tasks such as framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, cabinet installation, siding, metal stud framing, and fixture installation Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Conduct flooring installation, tile laying, plumbing, electrical work, and water damage restoration as needed Ensure quality control by inspecting work for precision and compliance with project standards; make adjustments as necessary Coordinate with other trades to facilitate seamless project progression Skills Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., hammers, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) Strong background in carpentry disciplines including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall hanging and finishing, cabinetry installation and door hanging Familiarity with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration processes Experience with plumbing systems installation; electrical experience is a plus for integrated project support Ability to read complex blueprints or schematics accurately; experience with schematics interpretation for various trades Heavy lifting capability; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as required on construction sites Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide teams effectively while maintaining safety standards in fast-paced environments Join us if you're passionate about craftsmanship and eager to lead impactful projects!
