Job Description
Position Title Custom Home Builder Carpenter Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to join our custom home building team. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of carpentry duties involved in the construction of high-quality custom homes. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works well independently and with a team, and maintains a strong attention to detail throughout all phases of construction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform residential framing, trim work, blocking, siding, decking, and general carpentry tasks Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans Install doors, windows, cabinets, and interior/exterior finishes Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently Maintain clean and organized job sites Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure schedules and quality standards are met Identify and communicate construction issues or potential delays promptly Ensure all work complies with company standards, building codes, and safety requirements Perform punch list and warranty work as needed Qualifications Previous residential carpentry or construction experience required Experience in custom home construction preferred Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions Skills and Abilities Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship Work Environment Primarily outdoor construction sites Exposure to varying weather conditions Frequent standing, climbing, lifting, bending, and kneeling Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid holidays and vacation Equal Opportunity Employer We are an equal opportunity employer and value hard work, professionalism, and dedication to quality Strong problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Time management and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing project needs and schedules
