Job Description

Job Title:
Finish Carpenter Job Description This role focuses on building large custom modular structures such as schools, hospitals, banks, restaurants, and offices. As a finish carpenter, you will work on-site to complete framing, rough and finish carpentry, drywall, and detailed interior work that brings each modular unit to life. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes plumbers, electricians, welders, and general laborers, following blueprints and project specifications from start to finish. Responsibilities Report to the designated site location to work on modular building projects. Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to plan and execute carpentry tasks accurately. Install ceiling grids and complete drywall work according to project specifications. Perform rough carpentry, including framing and structural work for modular units. Execute finish carpentry tasks such as trim, detailed woodwork, and final interior finishes. Work with both metal and wood materials to build and install components of modular structures. Use hand tools and trade tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks. Collaborate with on-site teams of plumbers, electricians, welders, HVAC technicians, and laborers to ensure coordinated project completion. Follow commercial construction standards and practices for modular building projects. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with site safety guidelines. Essential Skills Proven experience in rough and finish carpentry, including framing and detailed finish work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings. Hands-on experience working with both metal and wood materials. Proficiency in drywall installation and related finishing tasks. Competence using standard hand tools and carpentry tools of the trade, which you will provide. Experience in commercial construction or modular construction environments. 1 or more years of carpentry experience, with pay and level of responsibility aligned to skill and experience. Residential carpentry experience considered relevant and transferable. Additional Skills & Qualifications 5 or more years of carpentry experience is highly valued and may align with higher responsibility levels. Experience working alongside other trades such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and pipe fitting on construction projects. Familiarity with mechanical and piping installation environments in commercial construction. Comfort working with tasks that may include aspects of electrical, HVAC, piping, and soldering coordination on-site. Ownership of personal hand tools appropriate for finish and rough carpentry work. Work Environment This position is based on-site in Rye, NY, working on modular build-out projects. You will work in an active construction environment that brings together multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding, and general labor, to complete modular units from start to finish. The work involves using standard carpentry hand tools and equipment in a commercial construction setting, often inside partially completed modular structures. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and collaborative, with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

E Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Leola, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
