Experienced Carpenter & Superintendent 12 South Market Street, Mount Joy, PA 17552 $31.23 - $37.61 an hour - Full-time $31.23 - $37.61 an hour - Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Carpenter & Superintendent to lead and execute complex construction projects from start to finish. This role combines hands-on carpentry expertise with comprehensive construction management responsibilities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical proficiency, and a passion for delivering exceptional craftsmanship while managing teams and coordinating with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Responsibilities Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Lead on-site carpentry work, utilizing skills in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating to deliver precise craftsmanship. Manage construction schedules using Primavera P6 or similar project management software to ensure timely completion of milestones. Supervise subcontractors and labor teams, providing clear direction, monitoring progress, and maintaining high safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment, including heavy machinery like Ohmmeters for electrical testing and other specialized tools. Conduct quality control inspections to verify work meets design specifications and industry standards; implement corrective actions as needed. Prepare detailed reports on project progress, budgets, and safety compliance; manage contracts and change orders effectively. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, communication, and project tracking. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and client requirements while maintaining a focus on efficiency and excellence. Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong background in commercial or residential projects. Demonstrated supervising experience leading teams of tradespeople and subcontractors in fast-paced environments. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling. Familiarity with construction management software including ProCore, BuilderTrend, or similar construction software tools. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices for construction site safety management. Hands-on carpentry skills complemented by experience in managing large-scale projects from conception through completion. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when required.
