Lead Carpenter

Job Summary:

The Lead Carpenter will use remodeling skills to complete construction and remodeling projects. This role is for someone who has experiance in exterior work, ie siding, roofing and gutters as well as typical remodeling carpentry.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Collaborates with employees concerning work orders, prints, and sketches to understand the structure that needs to be built or repaired. Estimates equipment, tool, and material requirements for each job. Builds, dismantles, and repairs structures, walls, roofs, glass, and siding as assigned. Operates all necessary tools to complete a job. Prepares and dismantles scaffolding as needed. Ensures tools and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and maintained for optimum performance and safety. Performs painting, drywall, insulation and similar tasks as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to draw accurate sketches to communicate the specifications for projects. Ability to take accurate measurements and calculations.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at a time. Must be able to squat, lift, stretch, and bend.. Must be able to work in and on overhead structures, as well as below machinery, safely. Must have drivers license and clean driving record.

$26.00 - $31.00 per hour
