Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Residential Carpenter to oversee and perform all phases of residential construction and remodeling projects. This individual will lead crews on-site, coordinate daily tasks, ensure quality craftsmanship, maintain project schedules, and communicate effectively with homeowners, subcontractors, and project managers. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in residential carpentry, detail-oriented, organized, and capable of leading projects from framing through finish work. Responsibilities Lead and supervise carpentry crews on residential construction and remodeling projects Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications Perform all aspects of carpentry including: Framing Finish carpentry Trim installation Cabinet installation Decks and exterior work Drywall and minor repairs Coordinate and schedule daily job site activities Ensure projects stay on schedule and within quality standards Train and mentor apprentice and junior carpenters Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and homeowners Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy and craftsmanship Manage material lists and coordinate deliveries when needed Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company standards Qualifications 5+ years of residential carpentry experience preferred Previous leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and building codes Ability to read blueprints and construction plans Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to manage crews and maintain productivity Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions Preferred Skills Experience with high-end residential construction Knowledge of scheduling and project coordination Strong finish carpentry attention to detail Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers or lifts Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Paid time off and holidays Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable) Tool allowance (if applicable) Opportunities for advancement and leadership growth Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as needed Work Location Residential job sites throughout the surrounding area

$23.00 - $30.00 per hour
