We are a growing design-build firm that specializes in high-end, first floor and entire home remodels. We blend custom designs with expert craftsmanship to create personalized environments where homeowners live out meaningful memories and experiences. To keep pace with our growth, we are seeking a highly-skilled, creative, and self-motivated carpenter. Duties & Responsibilities at each project you are working on: Framing and rough carpentry tasks needed to complete remodel Install custom cabinets and cabinetry trim Install trim, windows, doors, pre-finished flooring and other finish carpentry items Install floor and backsplash tile Install walk-in tile showers Temporary protection and demolition tasks needed to complete remodel Clean and organize project daily Troubleshoot issues that arise on project with the project foreman Required Skills Able to work with , and take direction from the project foreman assigned to each job site. Able to be a team player and work with a variety of tradesman. Able to work in a customer's home and communicate cordially and professionally with customers. Highly proficient in custom cabinetry installation, cabinet molding installation, crown molding installation, trim work, rough carpentry, window and door install, and all other carpentry tasks. it is a plus if the candidate is willing/knows how to install floor tile, wall tile, and backsplash tile. If candidate does not have tile setting experience Black Forest will provide training. Ability to read and understand project drawings and cabinet shop drawings. Strong problem solving abilities, able to devise creative solutions for unseen conditions that may periodically arise on assigned project. Technologically proficient, able to use iPad to view project documents, log time and expenses, and send emails when needed. Possess a general knowledge of home building and building structure, plumbing, HVAC, electric, drywall, painting, natural stone products, custom shower glass products, hardwood flooring, roofing, and siding. Requirements Candidate should be able to pass a criminal history and drug-screening Candidate should have a valid driver's licenses Candidate must be 23 years or older Candidate should have 4-5 years on site work experience (preferably residential work experience) Must have and maintain a vehicle to drive to Job sites(milage reimbursement provided) Please expect that you will work 8 Hours on the job site +drive time Candidate must be willing to travel throughout the mainline area outside of Philadelphia and as far north as Harrisburg and as far west as the City of York.
