Job Title:
Carpenter Job Description This role offers the opportunity to perform a full range of commercial carpentry work for a long-established construction company that is entering a significant growth phase. You will work on local commercial and industrial projects, focusing primarily on rough carpentry while also handling finish work. The position is ideal for an experienced commercial carpenter who takes pride in craftsmanship, values safety, and wants to grow with a company that is expanding operations and modernizing its systems. Responsibilities Perform all phases of commercial carpentry work, with a primary focus on rough carpentry and structural framing. Install steel stud framing, insulation, drywall, windows, and doors on commercial projects. Execute finish carpentry tasks, including installing baseboards, crown molding, and trim. Hang doors and hardware with precision, ensuring proper fit and operation. Fit and install cabinetry and millwork according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction specifications to plan and execute work accurately. Use hand tools and power tools to measure, cut, assemble, and install carpentry materials safely and efficiently. Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and ensure work meets quality expectations and building requirements. Follow site safety practices and contribute to a clean, organized, and safe job site. Collaborate closely with foremen and other trades to coordinate tasks and meet project timelines. Travel to and work on local commercial projects, including current interior framing and finish work in Williamsport and Lock Haven. Support upcoming projects involving insulation and metal wall panel installation on metal buildings. Essential Skills Minimum 2 years of commercial carpentry experience. Strong proficiency in rough carpentry, including structural framing and general carpentry tasks. Experience with finish carpentry, including trim, doors, hardware, and millwork installation. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and other construction documents. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools commonly used in commercial carpentry. Ability to perform drywall-related tasks associated with framing and finish work. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to commute to job sites in Williamsport and Lock Haven. Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to quality and safety on the job site. Comfort working on commercial construction sites and coordinating with other trades. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsport, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
