Destiny Homes is a full-service design-build remodeling and renovation company based in Chanhassen, MN. We specialize in delivering custom residential construction projects from kitchens and bathrooms to whole-home renovations with a focus on quality, integrity, and personalized service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Carpenter /
Assistant Project Manager Position Summary:
We're looking for a hands-on carpenter and project manager assistant, someone who enjoys building things right, managing projects efficiently, and seeing work through from start to finish. This position blends skilled carpentry with site supervision for new homes and residential remodels. If you take pride in the details and like the satisfaction of crossing things off a punch list yourself, this might be a great fit.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality carpentry and finish work on residential projects Oversee day-to-day site activities and coordinate subcontractors Perform quality-control checks and complete punch-list items (shelves, hardware, trim, etc.) Ensure homes are 100% ready for turnover Communicate progress with the project manager and clients Help set the tone for safety, organization, and craftsmanship on site Support project managers with scheduling, materials, and inspections Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in residential carpentry or remodeling (framing, trim, finish work, etc.) Comfortable leading subcontractors and managing crews Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Basic hand tools (larger tools and equipment provided) Valid driver's license and dependable transportation Comprehensive understanding of the construction industry, blueprints, building permits, building codes & construction equipment Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening. Experience with Builder trend software preferred. Clear, accurate, and concise written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices. Able to manage multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
