Job Description
Carpentry Worker responsible for building wood shipping reels, performing facility maintenance, repairing racks, maintaining tools, and supporting safe work area organization. Job Requirements Ability to follow blueprints, drawings, diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions Experience measuring, cutting, gluing, nailing, drilling, and assembling wood components Ability to calculate material sizes and quantities needed for reel construction Experience using carpentry hand tools and power tools Experience using saws, measuring tapes, levels, squares, hammers, and rulers Ability to inspect completed wood assemblies for accuracy and quality Ability to follow safety guidelines Ability to maintain a neat and orderly work area Preferred Skills Experience constructing wood shipping reels or similar wood assemblies Facility maintenance experience Experience replacing damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, wall coverings, roofing, or related materials Experience performing basic power tool maintenance Experience sharpening or repairing tools Experience repairing damaged racks or production support equipment Inventory tracking experience for bolts, nails, and related supplies Job Responsibilities Build and assemble octagon reels used for shipping webbing Match finished work to customer order specifications Read and follow blueprints, drawings, diagrams, sketches, and verbal instructions Measure wood and calculate required material sizes and quantities Cut, glue, nail, drill, and assemble wood components Inspect reels for accuracy, quality, and specification compliance Perform facility maintenance, including replacing damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, wall coverings, roofing, and related materials Use carpentry hand tools and power tools to complete assigned work Perform basic maintenance on power tools Sharpen and repair broken tools as needed Conduct inventory checks of bolts, nails, and related supplies Notify supervision when supplies are running low Notify appropriate personnel when production or maintenance problems arise Repair damaged or broken racks for looms Follow all safety guidelines Maintain a neat and orderly work area
