Framing Carpenter

Job Summary Sellers General Construction is seeking a dedicated and motivated framing carpenter to construct the framework of buildings and other structures according to construction plans. Responsibilities will include construction, erection, and repairs to the structural wooden framework of residential and commercial buildings, including walls, floors, roofs, and joist. This role offers opportunities for training and growth within our reputable and growing construction company.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with framing, building and installing floor beams, subflooring, wall studs, and roof trusses. Accurately measuring, cutting, and shaping lumber, wood, and other building materials. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Read and interpret blueprints. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and with high quality standards. Loading and unloading building material. Cleaning construction sites, removing debris.

Required:

2-3 years as an experienced framing carpenter Basic understanding of carpentry principles. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. A strong work ethic and attention to detail. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Willingness to learn and grow in the field. Willingness to lead others. Additional responsibilities as assigned. Ability to read blueprints and architectural plans. Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Physical ability to handle tasks like standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials (up to 50-100 lbs), climbing, and working in various conditions. Reliable transportation to job sites is often needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma/GED/Trade School Certificate. It is a MUST that the candidate has a clean driving record. A solid commitment to all aspects of safety.
