Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Civil Carpenter Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist skilled carpenters and construction workers in various site tasks, the job site is at Valero Corpus Christi the job is 8 weeks long, 4/10's . Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a smooth and efficient progress of civil and structural projects and contribute to building durable, high-quality structures. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced construction environment while developing your skills in carpentry, and site safety. Duties Support carpenters with measuring, cutting, and assembling materials using hand tools and power tools. Assist with rebar installation, concrete forming, and concrete finishing tasks to ensure structural integrity. Prepare construction sites by setting up framing, and layout according to schematics and blueprints Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to maintain workflow efficiency Aid in the civil carpentry work Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or in related roles is required. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is advantageous Hands-on experience with building forms, rebar installation, digging footers is required.
