We're fortunate to work on some really special properties, some of which are on the National Historic Register or have been designed and built by some of Dallas' leading architects or city founders. We are seeking a Shop Carpenter/Cabinet Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing custom cabinetry, trim, and other woodwork on historic residential remodeling projects. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets high standards of quality, precision, and safety. Your hands-on approach and attention to detail will be vital in delivering exceptional results that exceed client expectations. Requirements Availability for all working hours: Monday
  • Friday, 8:00 am
  • 5:00 pm Capable of lifting at least 50 lbs on a regular basis in all seasons and temperatures Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
  • including on ladders or scaffolding Provide, maintain, and demonstrate mastery of all tools which would normally be used for any residential carpentry job (we will provide large equipment such as table or miter saws for jobsite use) A valid Texas drivers' license and reliable transportation; must be able to transport smaller hand and power tools along with small materials in your vehicle Fluency in English (bilingual appreciated but not required) Compliance with all safety policies and procedures Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install cabinetry, trim, doors, and other wood fixtures using hand tools and power tools with precision.
Read shop drawings to accurately execute project specifications. Handle heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Install fixtures such as hardware, moldings, wall paneling, and mirrors. Maintain a clean and organized work environment; ensure all tools and materials are properly stored after use. Follow safety guidelines diligently while working on construction sites; identify potential hazards proactively. Experience Deep understanding of how your team's carpentry tasks relate to other building trades (such as electrical, plumbing, drywall, etc.) Strong ability to problem-solve both independently and with other team members Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget A commitment to improving the quality of any team you're on, including training less experienced workers and sharing tips/best practices for shared professional development Experience with inset cabinetry a plus Strong ability to scribe and cope
