Job Description

Summary The Carptener Foreman leads the day-to-day operations of a custom woodworking facility, ensuring projects are delivered with precision, on schedule, and within budget. This role oversees a skilled team of craftsmen, manages workflow from blueprint to finished product, and enforces rigorous quality standards. The foreman is also responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, monitoring inventory and materials, and serving as the key liaison between design and production teams to resolve technical challenges and drive efficiency. Work Hours are Monday
  • Friday 7 A.M. to 4 P.M. Position is required to exert physical effort during a portion (up to 4 hours) of a normal work shift in handling objects over 50 pounds. Job Duties
  • Production Management:
    Planning, organizing, and monitoring the workflow of cabinetry staff to meet project deadlines.
  • Quality Control:
    Conducting final inspections on finished pieces to ensure they meet high-quality standards before they leave the shop.
  • Team Leadership:
    Supervising and mentoring team members, assigning daily tasks, and handling conflict resolution or performance reviews.
  • Technical Oversight:
    Reading and interpreting complex blueprints and schematics to guide the construction of custom units.
  • Inventory & Logistics:
    Managing material stock levels and ordering supplies, tools, or hardware as needed for upcoming jobs.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Enforcing OSHA safety protocols and ensuring all machinery is properly maintained and operated.
  • Measures and cuts out cabinets for other carpenters to assemble.
  • Orders material based off blue prints or verbal instructions.
  • Keeps the carpenter shop clean and organized.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Six years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications
  • Trade or Technical School.
  • Commercial carpentry experience.
