Carpenter's Assistant / Apprentice About Us We are a custom finish carpentry company specializing in high-quality trim work, custom cabinetry, built-ins, and architectural woodworking. We are looking for a hardworking and dependable Carpenter's Assistant who is eager to learn the trade and grow with our company. Position Overview This is an entry-level position designed for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in a job well done, and wants to build a career in custom carpentry. The right candidate will assist our craftsmen with daily operations while learning valuable skills that can lead to advancement within the company. Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Assist with jobsite setup, cleanup, and material handling Sand wood components and prepare materials for finishing Help with shop maintenance and equipment organization Assist carpenters with measuring, cutting, assembly, and installation tasks Load, unload, and transport tools and materials Follow instructions and support the team as needed Maintain professional conduct on jobsites and around clients Qualifications Basic carpentry or construction experience is helpful but not required Willingness to learn and develop woodworking skills Strong work ethic and positive attitude Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated Good organizational skills are a plus Ability to lift and carry materials and work in a physically active environment Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable transportation to and from work What We're Looking For Someone who shows up on time and ready to work A team player with a positive attitude Attention to detail and pride in quality work Desire to learn the finish carpentry and cabinet-making trade Long-term mindset and interest in career growth Opportunities for Advancement This position is intended to be a stepping stone into a skilled finish carpentry career.
