Mining & Heavy Industrial Construction Requirements:
Current MSHA Certification Required We are seeking an experienced Industrial Concrete Carpenter Journeyman to support heavy industrial and mining construction projects. This position will be responsible for building, installing, and dismantling concrete formwork while working safely and efficiently in active industrial and MSHA-regulated environments. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial foundations, equipment pads, structural concrete, retaining walls, elevated concrete structures, and other heavy civil and industrial concrete applications.
Responsibilities:
Construct, install, and remove concrete forms for industrial construction projects Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and layout plans Build and set forms for foundations, equipment pads, retaining walls, piers, footings, and structural concrete Install embeds, anchor bolt templates, and miscellaneous concrete accessories Place and tie reinforcing steel as required Assist with concrete pours, finishing activities, and quality control Perform layout and grade verification Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely Work alongside operators, laborers, ironworkers, and other craft personnel Maintain compliance with all MSHA, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements Participate in daily safety meetings and pre-task planning
Qualifications:
Journeyman-level concrete carpenter experience Current MSHA Certification required Experience working on mining, industrial, processing plant, cement, aggregate, or heavy civil projects Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience with large industrial foundations and equipment setting projects Knowledge of concrete placement, forming systems, anchor bolt layouts, and structural concrete construction Strong understanding of construction safety practices Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required

MSHA Part 48 Mining Operations Processing Plants Material Handling Facilities Structural Concrete Construction Heavy Civil Construction Industrial Equipment Foundations Conveyor and Process Plant Construction The ideal candidate is a safety-focused craftsman with a strong work ethic who takes pride in producing quality work and understands the demands of heavy industrial and mining construction projects.
Pay:
