Department NSU-Facilities Crew Physical Location of Position (City) Aberdeen Posting Text Northern State University is seeking an experienced and dependable carpenter for a full time, benefits-eligible position as a Carpenter/Painer. This position plays an important role in maintaining and improving campus facilities through quality craftsmanship, repair work, and renovation projects. Position Responsibilities include a wide variety of residential and commercial building maintenance and repair functions, including:

• General building repair and maintenance
• Remodeling and renovation projects
• Rough and finish carpentry
• Framing, trim work, and cabinet making
• Preparation for small painting projects as needed including painting offices or small touch up projects.
• Carpet, tile, and grout installation and repair
• Installation and repair of building materials and fixtures
• Preventative maintenance and repair projects across campus facilities Qualifications
• Experience in carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, hardware, and construction materials
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, fit, and install materials
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
