Job Description

The Job:
We are seeking a reliable person eager to learn and grow. This person will work closely with the construction manager who will provide all necessary training to succeed in this role.
The Candidate:

The Apprentice Carpenter will be responsible for demolishing, constructing, installing, and repairing of structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of carpentry techniques, be proficient in using hand and power tools, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. They will work as part of a team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist in various carpentry tasks, including framing, roofing, siding, trim work, door and window installation, and cabinet installation. Learn and apply proper techniques for measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling building materials and systems Help prepare job sites by gathering materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained. Follow all safety procedures and regulations, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Assist with demolition and site cleanup as needed. Load and unload materials and equipment. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision. Read and interpret basic blueprints and construction drawings (with training). Develop an understanding of building systems, codes and best practices. Attend safety meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support project completion. Demonstrate a willingness to learn, take direction and take initiative.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Genuine interest in the carpentry trade and a desire to learn. Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy materials. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy materials. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and climb for extended periods.
Compensation:
