We are a reputable, family-owned carpentry business specializing in custom fence and deck installations throughout the Greater Puget Sound. We take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and excellent customer service. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Carpenter to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a solid carpentry foundation and is eager to continue developing their skills while working on visible, high-quality projects.Responsibilities:
Install various types of fence product including Chain Link, Cedar (various styles), Vinyl, Split Rail, and Composite. Construct and install of decks, similar materials but mostly Composite. Measure, cut, and install lumber and composite materials accurately. Tear down and remove existing fencing and decking, including hauling and stacking materials safely. Dig, set, and level fence and deck posts according to code and specifications. Prepare job sites prior to installation and maintain organization throughout each project. Build and install gates, including hinges, latches, and adjustments. Perform repairs, adjustments, and punch-list items as needed. Able to speak professionally with customers, answer basic questions, and help reassure them they're in good hands with a skilled crew. Safely and effectively operate a variety of hand and power tools. Follow all health and safety regulations and safe work practices. Work closely with teammates and communicate clearly on job progress. Maintain punctuality and report time worked daily. Be respectful of customers and their property by cleaning each job site at the end of each workday. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring all items are cleaned and returned to proper storage in trucks and bins. Support the completion of projects on schedule while maintaining quality standards. Work effectively in a team setting. Dedicated to quality work and client satisfaction.Requirements:
Valid driver's license. Must be able to read a measuring tape. Willingness to learn and work under time pressure. Conscientiousness and responsibility for assigned tasks. Accuracy and precision in carrying out installation works. Ability to stand on a ladder or be up to 1-2 stories high; can't have a debilitating fear of heights. Ability to carry/lift heavy materials. Ask questions and seek directions as needed. Need to own & bring a set of basic tools: Tape measure (25ft minimum), Framing and Finish Hammers, Speed Square, Pocket Level, Utility Knife and blades, Screwdriver set (Phillips and Flathead). Bags not required but highly recommended.Qualifications:
Prior carpentry, fence, deck, or remodeling experience preferred. References appreciated. Desire to continue developing carpentry skills and take on increased responsibility. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Commitment to safety and quality.Benefits:
