Job Description PCI is seeking an experienced Joinery, Foreman for its West Coast Marine operations based in Seattle, WA . This individual will be responsible for the following duties: On site coordination with customers and crew to safely and productively install joinery scopes. Actively recruit and train field team members. Overall responsibility for crew safety, performance, productivity and work quality for assigned projects. Collaborate with superintendent and project manager to coordinate project startup, execution and close out Use look‐ahead schedules, manpower forecasts and project specifications to provide optimum scheduling of material, manpower and crew mix Systematically direct and assign crew field activities to achieve maximize productivity while maintaining PCG standards of quality, performance and workplace safety Create and maintain positive relationships with all trades, vendors, co‐workers and customers to maximize effectiveness and efficiency Convey a professional and positive attitude as the onsite representative of branch and corporation Use available technology to perform job tasks efficiently Ability to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner Performs other related duties as assigned On-the-job training offered This position is safety-sensitive.
Basic Requirements:
Must have a minimum of five years of shipbuilding and joinery work experience. A strong understanding of joinery systems on Commercial, MSC and US Navy vessels. Shipbuilding experience in New Construction and/or Repair/ Modernization. Must have at least 3-5 years of experience in a Foreman/Supervisor role Must be willing to travel and/or relocate for projects. Must have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Proficient in reading shop drawings Managed a crew size of 20+ craftsmen.
