The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and participating in high end, custom residential remodels and custom homes from start to finish, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. The Lead Carpenter will play a pivotal role in project scheduling, managing subcontractors and employees, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations while fostering a collaborative work environment. Duties Supervise and facilitate carpentry work on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, details, and engineering. Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining quality control throughout the process. Interpret schematics and blueprints to guide the construction process effectively. Oversee budgeting for carpentry projects, ensuring that materials and labor are utilized efficiently. Collaborate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure seamless integration of work on-site. Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations. Train and mentor junior carpenters, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices. Experience Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations including OSHA safety standards. Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, contract management, and budgeting processes. Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with industry-standard software is preferred but not mandatory.
