We have an immediate opening for an experienced carpenter who can build a radius-top door from scratch. Materials and most tooling are on hand. We're looking for the skill. The Project Build a full-radius flush mahogany exterior door, including the matching radius jamb. This is true curved-work carpentry, not trimming a prefab unit. You'll work from approved shop drawings with dimensions already verified. The decorative glass lite is being fabricated separately. You'll cut the opening and install it. What you'll do Build the flush mahogany door slab from scratch, shaping the radius head to template Construct the matching radius jamb to fit the actual opening Cut the lite opening per drawings and install the fabricated glass lite with proper stops and weatherproofing Fit, hang, and tune the door for proper reveal and operation Work to a tight tolerance standard. Our reputation is built on finish quality. What we're looking for Demonstrated experience building radius or arched doors from raw stock. We will ask for photos of past work. Strong template-making and curved-edge shaping skills Comfortable working with hardwoods, this project is mahogany Experience setting glass lites in exterior doors Able to work independently from shop drawings Own basic hand tools. Compensation:
$60 to $80/hr
