Job Title:
Carpenter Job Description This role focuses on building prefabricated Arrow Station units and water pump houses, similar to tiny homes, in a manufacturing environment. You work as part of a carpentry team to construct structures from roof to base, including framing, walls, siding, roofing, drywall, fixtures, and hardware, while consistently using hand and power tools and following measurements and plans. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the carpentry team to build Arrow Station units and prefabricated water pump houses from start to finish. Construct structural components from roof to base, including frame work, walls, siding, roofing/tin, and Polilam drywall. Install fixtures and hardware as part of the finishing process to complete each unit to specification. Perform general building, home improvement, and woodworking tasks in a manufacturing shop environment. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively throughout all stages of construction. Measure, mark, and cut materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools. Read and interpret blueprints or basic drawings to complete rough and finish carpentry tasks. Assemble components and complete finish carpentry work to achieve high-quality, detailed results. Carry out general labor tasks related to carpentry, including material handling and shop organization. Follow all safety procedures when working around power tools, saws, forklifts, and airborne particles. Essential Skills At least 2 years of carpentry experience in a shop, construction, or manufacturing environment. At least 2 years of experience using hand and power tools in a professional setting. At least 1 year of rough carpentry experience, including framing and structural work. Ability to perform general building, home improvement, and woodworking tasks. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, including safe operation in a busy shop. Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure for precise measurements. Experience with finish carpentry, assembly, and installation of fixtures and hardware. Ability to read and work from blueprints or basic construction drawings. Capability to perform general labor duties associated with carpentry in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience building prefab structures, such as small buildings or tiny-home-style units. Expereince in both rough and finish carpentry, including framing, siding, roofing, and interior finishes. Comfort working with materials such as Polilam drywall, siding, and tin roofing. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, consistent work. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team in a shop environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a temperature-controlled shop environment on a first-shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The work takes place in a typical manufacturing shop where you frequently use power tools, including saws, and may work around forklifts. You can expect exposure to fumes or airborne particles and a noise level that can be loud at times. The facility is smaller in scale, which fosters close teamwork and clear communication while you perform carpentry tasks and operate tools safely.
