Carpenter - Service Van Job Description Hill Construction is looking for a skilled and dependable Carpenter specializing in punch lists and new-build closeouts. This position focuses on final-stage construction work, completing detail-oriented finish items, correcting deficiencies, and preparing projects for final walkthroughs and owner turnover. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently with minimal supervision, and has strong attention to detail. Responsibilities Complete residential and commercial punch list items Perform finish carpentry repairs and adjustments Install and repair trim, doors, hardware, and cabinets Complete drywall patching and minor texture repairs Perform caulking, paint prep, and finish corrections Coordinate final corrections with project managers and subcontractors Maintain clean and safe job sites Identify and communicate unresolved issues promptly Assist with warranty and service-related carpentry work Ensure projects are inspection and move-in ready Qualifications 15+ years of carpentry or finish carpentry experience preferred Experience with residential new construction close-outs preferred Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Ability to work independently and stay organized Ability to read blueprints and scopes of work Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with a clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor daily Valid driver license required Pass background and driving screening Preferred Skills Finish trim carpentry Drywall and painting touch-ups Cabinet adjustments and installation Flooring repairs General construction knowledge Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge Ability to troubleshoot independently Schedule Monday to Friday Full-time Overtime available as needed Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Advancement opportunities Health benefits Company vehicle
