Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Finish Trim Carpenter, where your craftsmanship will bring interiors to life with precise and polished finishing touches. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and finishing trim, molding, cabinetry, doors, and other woodwork components that define the aesthetic and functionality of residential and commercial spaces. Your expertise will ensure every project meets high standards of quality, durability, and visual appeal. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and showcase your talent in the restoration, remodeling, and new construction industries. Duties Measure, cut, assemble, and install interior and exterior trim including baseboards, crown molding, window casings, door frames, and wainscoting with precision. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute detailed trim layouts and custom fabrication projects. Use hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and levels along with power tools including nail guns, drills, sanders, and routers to complete installations efficiently. Perform framing tasks related to door hanging, metal stud framing, or light structural adjustments as needed. Apply caulking, plastering, stucco finishes, or water damage restoration techniques to ensure seamless surfaces. Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, siding panels, moldings, and other architectural details to enhance interior aesthetics. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to adhere to schematics and project timelines while maintaining safety standards on-site. Experience Proven experience in trim carpentry within residential or commercial construction environments. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles and blueprint reading for accurate material planning. Hands-on expertise with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry tasks including CNC machinery for fabrication when applicable. Familiarity with various construction disciplines such as framing, masonry, roofing, plumbing, electrical work, and flooring installation enhances versatility. Experience in restoration industry projects involving mold remediation or water damage repair is a plus. Ability to lift heavy materials safely while maintaining attention to detail throughout complex installation processes. Prior involvement in remodeling projects or handyman work that demonstrates adaptability across multiple construction tasks.
