Job Description

Ghidorzi Design | Build | Develop is a fully integrated architecture, construction and interior design firm that specializes in commercial buildings, real-estate development and tenant build-outs. The Ghidorzi design build construction approach gives owners a single source of accountability for bringing their vision to life and allows for greater transparency and efficiency. This position reports to the VP Design Build Services and is a key member of our design build team. The Carpenter performs rough and finish carpentry as well as general construction duties in line with Ghidorzi quality standards. This position works closely with the Director of Design Build Services, Project Managers and Construction Superintendent to ensure project success. Primary Responsibilities Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, rebuilds, constructs, and maintains various types of structures. Duties are established per project by, Project Manager and/or Construction Superintendent. Maintains construction schedule, identifies and solves problems. Understands the project plans and specifications. Utilize Procore Construction Management Software to manage and record day-to-day construction operations. Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees. Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies/reports job site hazards immediately. Maintains an organized job site. Follows company policies and procedures in the field. Holds confidential information in the strictest confidence. Other duties assigned as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2 years or more of carpentry experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Familiar with rough carpentry, finish carpentry, building layout, wood and steel stud construction. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Obtains safety certifications, including OSHA, First Aid and CPR. Must be able to stand at least 7 hours per day. Lift and carry 1-10 lbs. continuously, 10-20 lbs. frequently, 21-50 lbs. occasionally, 51-100 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to 1.) continuously grasp/manipulate objects; 2.) frequently push/pull, stoop/squat/kneel and bend; and 3.) occasionally climb/balance and reach above shoulders. Environmental requirements include ability to operate power and hand tools and work in changing temperatures/outdoor elements.
