Job Description

Transportation Associate Position Summary The Transportation Associate is responsible for the safe transportation of pets to and from Kingdom Canine while providing an exceptional experience for both clients and their dogs. This role serves as an extension of our Client Experience and Pet Care teams, requiring excellent customer service skills, safe animal handling practices, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, friendly, and comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments while representing Kingdom Canine throughout the community. Essential ResponsibilitiesPet Transportation Safely transport dogs to and from client homes, veterinary appointments, and Kingdom Canine facilities. Follow established transportation routes and schedules. Ensure all pets are safely secured during transport. Conduct vehicle safety inspections before and after each shift. Maintain clean and sanitary transportation vehicles. Monitor pets during transport and respond appropriately to any safety concerns. Client Service Serve as a professional and friendly representative of Kingdom Canine during client interactions. Communicate arrival, departure, and schedule updates as needed. Provide exceptional customer service while building trust with clients and their pets. Accurately document transportation activities, client instructions, and pet information. Report client concerns, special requests, or service opportunities to management. Animal Handling & Pet Care Safely handle dogs of varying breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. Load and unload pets safely from vehicles. Utilize proper leash handling and safety procedures. Monitor pets for signs of illness, stress, injury, or behavioral concerns. Assist with feeding, medication administration, enrichment activities, kennel cleaning, and general pet care duties when not actively transporting pets. Support daycare, boarding, and facility operations as needed. Team Support Assist with facility opening and closing procedures. Support kennel cleaning, laundry, sanitation, and general housekeeping tasks. Maintain compliance with all company policies, SOPs, and safety standards. Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding schedules, pet concerns, and operational needs. Demonstrate flexibility in supporting various departments throughout the facility. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum age of 21 years preferred for insurance purposes. Comfortable driving company vehicles in varying traffic and weather conditions. Previous customer service experience preferred. Previous experience working with dogs, animals, or in pet care environments preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes and breeds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday. Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently throughout a shift. Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions as needed. Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
