Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic marine construction team as a Marine Construction Dive Tender, where you will play a vital role in supporting underwater construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with divers and heavy equipment operators, ensuring safe and efficient operations beneath the water's surface. As a Dive Tender, you will be responsible for assisting with dive activities, managing equipment, and maintaining safety protocols to facilitate successful marine construction endeavors. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in marine environments and heavy equipment operation. Duties Assist divers during underwater construction tasks by managing diving gear, communication systems, and safety lines Operate and maintain heavy marine equipment such as cranes, winches, and rigging gear used in underwater projects Prepare and inspect diving equipment to ensure it meets safety standards before each dive Support rigging operations by setting up lifting gear and securing loads for underwater placement or removal Monitor environmental conditions and communicate effectively with divers and team members to ensure safety at all times Maintain detailed logs of dive activities, equipment usage, and safety checks for compliance and reporting purposes Collaborate with project managers, divers, and heavy equipment operators to execute project plans efficiently Skills Strong understanding of rigging techniques used in marine environments to lift and secure heavy loads Mechanical knowledge related to marine equipment, tools, and safety devices Experience operating heavy machinery such as cranes, winches, or other marine construction equipment is highly desirable Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and protocols during underwater operations Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with divers, crew members, and supervisors Physical stamina and the ability to work in challenging outdoor conditions at sea or on docks Willingness to learn new skills related to marine construction and diving support This role offers an engaging environment where safety, teamwork, and technical expertise come together.
