The ideal candidate will have experience with Port of Houston operations, and possess a strong understanding of various types of freight transport. This role involves delivering goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. We are looking for a driver interested in being home daily, usual lanes are local Houston and regional routes. No OTR/cross country driving. Pay is weekly. CDL A and TWIC card
REQUIRED.
Duties Handle a variety of container sizes and weights. Execute route driving to deliver freight to designated locations in a timely manner. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on duty. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Familiarity with Port of Houston terminals and operations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
