We specialize in new mid-rise multifamily and luxury home construction. Our structures are concrete and steel, with in-house divisions self-performing a variety of trade craft scopes including: grading/excavation, underground wet/dry utilities, concrete/rebar, framing/drywall, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, roofing, landscaping, pool, tile as well as other scopes Overview A Concrete Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of a concrete production or construction division, ensuring projects are executed profitably, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities and qualifications typically include:
Key Responsibilities Project Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans and ensure meticulous field execution. Manage construction and maintenance of concrete production sites, roads, or structures.
Resource Management:
Source, direct, and align manpower, dispatch equipment, procure materials, and schedule work to meet project goals.
Team Oversight:
Supervise field teams, vendors, and subcontractors; promote a culture of safety and professionalism. Conduct training of staff and coordinate with general contractors and project managers on sequencing and scheduling.
Client & Vendor Relations:
Maintain robust customer relationships and communicate with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Manage vendor pricing and contracts.
Quality & Compliance:
Monitor quality control, ensure OSHA and environmental safety compliance, and uphold company standards for processes and designs.
Financial Management:
Monitor budgets, profit and loss statements, control costs, and ensure financial success of concrete projects.
Planning & Scheduling:
Oversee and facilitate site planning meetings. Track company resource usage and equipment maintenance.
Reporting:
Review production reports, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications Education:
Degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Master's degree in project management is preferred for larger organizations.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in the construction industry, with proven expertise in concrete operations management or project management roles.
Certifications:
Construction-specific credentials like OSHA Safety Certification, Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or PMP are valuable.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with specialized software (Procore, Autodesk, Primavera P6) for project tracking and resource management.
Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and resolve conflicts under pressure.
Communication:
Strong skills in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
