Job Description

Job Summary The Laborer performs general labor and clean-up work in a plant or field as directed, and unloads railcars as directed. All duties are to be performed while exhibiting and championing safe work and environmental compliance practices for the incumbent as well as co-workers. Benefits

  • Responsibilities Perform clean-up duties in all areas of the facility Operate equipment including the super sucker, street sweeper, track mobile, front-end loader, forklift, bobcat, water truck, dump trucks and other related equipment Unload railcars as directed Paint as directed Perform other duties as assigned Education High school diploma/GED Requirements/Qualifications Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours) Ability to walk on all types of surfaces (uneven and/or slippery ground) Physically able to climb on equipment Must be able to use proper Personal Protective Equipment as required Climb stairs and ladders as high as 400 feet in elevation Must be able to walk long distances, climb stockpiles, stoop, and crawl under and into enclosed spaces Ability to see and hear safety indicators and warnings and will have exposure to all levels of noise, requiring hearing protection Must work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, dry and/or dusty conditions and near hot kiln process Physical requirements: sitting, standing, stooping and bending for long periods of time; work in various weather conditions; lift up to 70 lbs.
Able to work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
