Concrete / Asphalt Technician Solid Property Services Inc. - 3.7 Chula Vista, CA Job Details Full-time $25 - $40 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Outdoor work Driver's License Construction site experience Attention to detail Cleaning Full Job Description We are looking for a dependable and motivated Asphalt & Concrete Technician to support the construction, repair, and maintenance of asphalt pavements and concrete structures, including sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and foundations. The ideal candidate will assist with site preparation, material placement, finishing, and equipment operation to help deliver durable, high-quality surfaces. This role requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented outdoor environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and set up job sites, including grading, leveling, and surface preparation Operate construction equipment and tools such as rollers, pavers, concrete saws, drills, and compactors Mix, pour, place, spread, and compact asphalt and concrete materials according to project specifications Monitor material consistency and application to ensure proper finish and long-term durability Perform finishing, smoothing, and curing of concrete surfaces using appropriate techniques and tools Conduct routine cleaning and minor maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment Follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and project managers to ensure efficient workflow Maintain accurate records of daily work activities, materials used, and project progress Assist with additional duties and projects as assigned Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in asphalt, concrete, construction, or a related field preferred Proficient in the use of construction hand tools and power equipment Basic knowledge of grading, leveling, and material mixing techniques Ability to read and follow blueprints, site plans, and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Familiarity with equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to perform physically demanding work in various outdoor weather conditions
