Job Description
Job Summary Draz & Dolce is seeking a dynamic and experienced Concrete & Foundation Superintendent to lead and oversee all aspects of concrete and foundation construction projects. This role involves managing on-site operations, coordinating with project teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering high-quality results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, extensive site supervision experience, and a thorough understanding of concrete and foundation work in large-scale projects. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving project success from start to finish, fostering teamwork, and maintaining the highest standards of quality control. Duties Supervise all concrete and foundation construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and specifications. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials. Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to monitor progress and adjust plans as needed. Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment. Manage budgets related to concrete work, including cost estimating, tracking expenses, and controlling project costs through effective management practices. Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; interpret construction documents accurately for site implementation. Conduct quality control inspections utilizing tools like ohmmeters and other testing equipment to ensure concrete strength and foundation integrity meet specifications. Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Primavera for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Supervise a team of skilled laborers and subcontractors; provide guidance on best practices in concrete placement, formwork installation, reinforcement placement, and curing processes. Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations by reviewing contracts regularly and managing change orders effectively. Lead project scheduling efforts by coordinating activities using Primavera P6 or similar tools to meet deadlines efficiently. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, inspection reports, and project progress updates. Qualifications Proven experience in construction site supervision with a focus on concrete placement and foundation work; heavy civil or infrastructure projects preferred. Strong knowledge of construction management principles including budgeting, scheduling (Primavera P6), blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and quality assurance processes. Familiarity with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid; experience managing contracts is highly desirable. Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a safety-first culture aligned with OSHA standards. Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera (P6), OSHAsafety regulations knowledge is essential. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse project stakeholders across multiple disciplines. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics for proper execution of work tasks. Hands-on experience with testing equipment such as ohmmeters for quality control assessments on foundations. Valid OSHA certification along with relevant licenses or certifications required by local regulations.
