14959 Join our amazing team and contribute as a: Cement Technician/Laborer ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary function of the Cement Technician position is to safely and efficiently maintain the required supply of tires on the kiln tire delivery system. This primarily involves loading tires from trucks onto hooks and moving full trailers to the dock and removing empty trailers. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Places a tire on each empty hook as they pass the dock loading area Disposes of unusable material as prescribed Removes empty trailers from the dock, and replace with full trailers Completes paperwork, record keeping, and sampling as required Assists in maintaining plant housekeeping standards Promptly reports unusual circumstances, problems or difficulties to supervisor Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. Performs other duties as assigned WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Education:
High School diploma/GED Additional Requirements:
Able to lift tires ranging from 20 to 100 lbs, and maneuver tires in excess of 100 lbs Able to operate yard tractor, forklift and bobcat Able to perform heavy lifting/physically demanding work for prolonged periods of time in extremes of climate/temperature Able to climb stairs and ladders, work on catwalks or other unusual work areas Technicians are required to adhere to a rotating shift schedule, working 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests. HR Contact:
