Concrete Cutting Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Cutting Operator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized cutting equipment to accurately and efficiently cut concrete, masonry, and other building materials on various construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure precise demolition, renovation, and new construction projects are completed safely and on schedule. Duties Operate concrete saws, wall saws, core drills, and other power tools to cut concrete, brick, stone, and related materials according to project specifications and blueprints. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to determine cutting locations and dimensions. Prepare work areas by setting up barriers, safety zones, and securing the site before beginning operations. Maintain and inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure safety standards are met and equipment functions properly. Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, and other trades to coordinate cutting tasks within larger construction workflows. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation, dust control, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with related tasks such as demolition support, concrete forming, or minor fabrication as needed. Requirements Proven experience operating power tools such as concrete saws, drills, grinders, and hand tools in a construction environment. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans. Familiarity with construction management principles including safety procedures and site protocols. Ability to work with heavy equipment operation including core drills and specialized cutting machinery. Basic understanding of construction estimating, inspection processes, and quality control standards. Experience with related trades such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or carpentry is a plus. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members across multiple trades. Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials safely, and work in various weather conditions. $27.75 - $35.00 per hour
