This is a physically demanding, fast-paced outdoor role ideal for individuals who take pride in quality craftsmanship, teamwork, and producing professional results. As a Field Technician 1, you will assist with the full installation process of decorative concrete landscape edging, including site prep, mixing, pouring, shaping, finishing, cleanup, and equipment care.

Compensation Starting pay:

$20/hour Full-time seasonal position Performance-based production bonuses available Advancement opportunities within the company Key Responsibilities Assist in the installation of concrete landscape edging and related landscape features Perform site preparation, trenching, material loading/unloading, and setup Mix, pour, shape, and finish concrete edging Maintain production pace to support crew efficiency Reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary downtime Ensure jobsites meet A Better Edge quality standards Complete daily cleanup and proper equipment maintenance Follow crew leader and management direction Communicate issues quickly and professionally Represent the company professionally with clients and team members Physical Requirements This position is highly physical and requires: Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing Repetitive lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Fast-paced manual labor for extended hours Ability to work around concrete, machinery, and construction tools High stamina and urgency throughout the workday Qualifications Valid driver's license preferred Construction, landscaping, concrete, or outdoor labor experience preferred Ability to work hard in a physically demanding environment Strong work ethic and reliability Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to follow systems, directions, and safety standards Basic smartphone skills for time tracking and communication Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Coachable and humble Physically tough Team-oriented Detail-focused Professional under pressure Motivated by performance and growth Why Work With A Better Edge?
