In this role, you will assist with the finishing, shaping, and smoothing of concrete surfaces on various construction projects. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure high-quality results that meet project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in concrete finishing and construction site operations while contributing to the successful completion of diverse building projects. Duties Assist with the preparation and pouring of concrete using mixers, pumps, and other equipment Use hand tools and power tools to smooth, level, and finish concrete surfaces such as floors, sidewalks, driveways, and curbs Install rebar and metal reinforcement as specified in blueprints and schematics to strengthen concrete structures Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate placement and finishing of concrete elements Perform heavy lifting tasks safely while handling materials like concrete bags, rebar, and formwork components Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps or mixers to facilitate efficient project workflow Apply finishing techniques including troweling, caulking, plastering, stucco application, and trim carpentry for a polished look Assist with form setting, rebar installation, and framing for concrete structures during renovation or new construction projects Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of debris properly, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times Experience Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on concrete finishing or related trades is highly preferred Familiarity with construction estimating processes and reading blueprints or schematics is advantageous Knowledge of various construction techniques including masonry, roofing, restoration, flooring installation, tile laying, and metal stud framing will be beneficial Hands-on experience operating power tools, heavy equipment (such as forklifts or cranes), and commercial driving is a plus Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced environments Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites combined with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Join us if you're eager to build your career in a vibrant construction environment where your skills make a real impact!
