Currently serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Hernando, Citrus, Pasco, Manatee, Polk, Hardee, Orange, Lee and Sarasota counties providing the infrastructure that makes modern life possible. Team FAC is highly adaptable and able to flex to meet the needs, changes and challenges that come with any project. Guided by Senior Management, FAC has a team that is equipped to provide efficient budget and timeline solutions for contracts ranging upward of $20 million dollars in size. Florida Asphalt & Concrete is seeking an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience in concrete finishing, with a deep understanding of working with different types of concrete and the finishing process.

Responsibilities:

Setting forms that hold the concrete in place, ensuring they have the correct depth and pitch. Spreading, leveling, and smoothing concrete using come along, shovel, power trowel, power screed, and float. Monitoring the effects of weather conditions on the curing of the concrete. Safely operating equipment like power vibrator, power trowel, power screed, and drills. Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure surfaces. Waterproofing, damp-proofing and restoring concrete surfaces. Directing the casting of concrete with the truck driver. Rub concrete with abrasive stone to finish. Removing rough/defective spots from the concrete surface, using power grinder, chisel or hammer. Break up and repair old concrete surfaces, patch holes with fresh concrete. Participating in routine maintenance and clean-up of job sites.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a concrete finisher. Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in concrete finishing. Physical strength and endurance, with the ability to work long hours, including overtime and weekends. Reliable personal transportation. Ability to understand and execute verbal and written instructions. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Ability to work both independently and in a team. Ability to handle the physical labor required, including lifting heavy items and working in varying weather conditions.
