Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Concrete Quality Control Technician to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will ensure the highest standards of concrete quality throughout all phases of construction projects. Your expertise will help maintain safety, compliance, and durability standards by conducting thorough inspections, data collection, and analysis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while honing your skills in construction quality control and laboratory testing. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive quality inspections of concrete mixes, forms, and finished structures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards. Conduct laboratory testing on concrete samples, including slump tests, compressive strength tests, and other relevant analysis procedures. Collect, record, and analyze data related to concrete properties, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all testing phases. Monitor construction sites for proper concrete forming techniques, placement procedures, and masonry work to uphold quality standards. Review contracts and construction documents to verify that concrete work aligns with project requirements and safety regulations. Collaborate with construction teams to identify issues early and implement corrective actions promptly. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality control activities for reporting and compliance purposes. Qualifications Laboratory experience or background in materials testing is highly preferred. Construction site experience with a focus on concrete forming, masonry, or general construction inspection. Strong understanding of quality control processes within the construction industry. Ability to collect precise data and perform detailed analysis of concrete properties. Knowledge of construction contracts, specifications, and safety regulations related to concrete work. Excellent observation skills combined with the ability to communicate findings clearly to team members. Familiarity with construction inspection procedures and materials testing equipment is a plus.
