Job Description
We are looking for an experienced, talented individual to join our construction company as a Concrete Foreman. The foreman is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a crew on residential job sites. Our ideal candidate will have significant construction experience, particularly with concrete projects. You must also have excellent leadership and communication skills.
JOB DUTIES
- Effectively lead and train team members, ensuring they meet our high-quality standards for concrete work.
- Effectively manages use of equipment and manpower to maximize crew efficiency.
- Reads and interprets construction drawings and translates the information accurately to appropriately direct resources.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting effective communication and cooperation among team members.
- Cultivate a culture of safety among your teams, enforcing adherence to all relevant safety regulations, providing training, and ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Oversee job site during adverse weather conditions, making the necessary adjustments to ensure job site progress.
- Address and resolve on-site issues promptly, coordinating with crews to minimize downtime and ensure continuity.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Driver's license is required
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
- Strong knowledge of construction/concrete.
- Ability to read architectural plans and blueprints.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks concurrently while managing deadlines.
