Job Description

Overview Connor Painting is seeking an experienced Concrete Polishing & Epoxy Team Lead to help lead our growing flooring division. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in commercial and industrial concrete polishing systems, resinous flooring, surface preparation, and crew leadership. We are specifically looking for someone who understands polished concrete processes from start to finish — including grinding, densifying, honing, polishing, equipment operation, and quality control — not just basic epoxy application. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate commercial and industrial flooring crews on concrete polishing, surface preparation, epoxy coatings, and safety line striping projects Operate and oversee the use of concrete polishing and surface preparation equipment including grinders, vacuums, burnishers, and related tooling Perform concrete grinding, densifying, honing, polishing, and coating preparation processes to achieve high quality finished floors Apply epoxy, urethane, and other resinous flooring systems according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards Read project specifications, drawings, and scope details to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently Plan daily work activities, manage crew productivity, and help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budgeted labor hours Train and mentor newer flooring employees on proper techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and jobsite expectations Identify and troubleshoot flooring issues in the field while communicating proactively with project managers and operations leadership Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and customer site requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite while representing Connor Painting positively with customers and other trades Complete daily reports, equipment inspections, and required project documentation accurately and on time Assist with material staging, equipment maintenance, and inventory management as needed Requirements Strong experience in commercial or industrial concrete polishing is
REQUIRED
Experience with epoxy, urethane, polyaspartic, or other resinous flooring systems preferred Previous experience leading or supervising flooring crews strongly preferred Hands-on experience operating concrete polishing and surface preparation equipment including grinders, vacuums, burnishers, and related tooling Strong understanding of surface preparation, grinding techniques, densifying, honing, polishing, and coating application processes Ability to read project specifications , drawings, and technical instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality workmanship Ability to work efficiently in fast paced commercial and industrial environments Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members Commitment to safety and ability to follow OSHA standards and customer specific safety requirements Willingness to travel as needed for projects, including occasional overnight travel if required Ability to lift heavy materials/equipment and perform physically demanding work in various jobsite conditions Valid driver's license and insurable driving record Experience operating forklifts, lifts, or other construction equipment is a plus Connor Painting is looking for a motivated, skilled flooring professional who takes pride in quality work, leadership, safety, and craftsmanship. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
