In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with various concrete-related tasks to ensure the successful completion of construction projects. Duties Prepare construction sites by setting up forms, scaffolding, and safety barriers for concrete pouring and finishing. Mix, pour, and spread concrete using mixers, hand tools, and power tools to achieve precise finishes. Install rebar and metal reinforcement structures according to blueprints and schematics to strengthen concrete elements. Operate heavy equipment such as concrete pumps, mixers, and other machinery safely and effectively. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to follow project specifications accurately. Perform finishing tasks including smoothing, troweling, caulking, and sealing concrete surfaces for a polished look. Assist with masonry, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and other related construction activities as needed. Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete installation and finishing techniques. Mechanical knowledge of tools such as hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing strenuous tasks in various weather conditions. Familiarity with construction estimating processes and renovation or restoration projects is a plus. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites and concrete work. Additional skills such as carpentry (trim carpentry, framing), roofing, masonry, welding, or metal stud framing are advantageous.
