Job Description
Operations Engineer - Precast Concrete GPAC has partnered with an industry leader in precast concrete , recognized for structural excellence, construction innovation, and a commitment to sustainability. We are seeking an experienced Operations / Facility Engineer to oversee plant operations, optimize manufacturing processes, and support the company's continued growth. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have a solid background in precast concrete manufacturing and a strong understanding of concrete design . This role requires a sharp analytical mind to assess casting methods, understand capacity ratings, and identify necessary facility improvements. Experience in bridge construction and a PE certification are strong assets.
Key Responsibilities Process Optimization:
Evaluate plant operations and production methods (castings) to ensure optimal efficiency, safety, and product quality.Capacity & Upgrades:
Analyze existing capacity ratings and identify opportunities for operational improvements and equipment upgrades.Collaboration:
Work with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to implement operational improvements and troubleshoot technical issues.Technical Support:
Provide technical support for concrete design and new product development.Compliance:
Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations and company quality standards.Project Management:
Support capital project planning and manage the implementation of facility upgrades, managing budgets and timelines.Continuous Improvement:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall operational efficiency.Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Experience:
5+ years of experience in precast concrete manufacturing or a similar environment.Technical Skills:
Familiarity with concrete design standards. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).Certifications:
PE certification is a plus. ACI Field and/or PCI Level I, II, or III certifications preferred (or the ability to obtain).Experience Plus:
Bridge construction experience is highly preferred.Core Skills:
