Duties Assist in preparing detailed construction estimates for commercial concrete projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing data and technical information. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop precise bid packages and proposals. Support the review of contract documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope of work and potential risks. Contribute to cost control efforts by analyzing project budgets and tracking estimate accuracy throughout project lifecycle. Participate in negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms. Help compile bid summaries, risk assessments, and value engineering suggestions to optimize project profitability. Requirements Prior experience or internship in construction estimating or project management within commercial concrete or heavy civil construction projects. Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software tools. Strong understanding of construction estimating principles, cost control, and pricing strategies. Knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and project workflows. Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing and contractual terms. Ability to interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical specifications with attention to detail. Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and stakeholders.

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
