Concrete Quality Control Technician

GLO Resources is currently hiring a Quality Control Inspector to work in the Baton Rouge, LA area. Pay will be between $22-$26 per hour based on experience. The schedule is typically Monday-Friday (7 am-5 pm) with occasional overtime based on production needs.

Position Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that pre-cast concrete products meet all required quality standards and project specifications. This role includes inspecting materials, monitoring production, performing concrete testing, and documenting results throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues before final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure products meet design specifications and quality standards Inspect forms, setups, and finished concrete products for accuracy and defects Conduct concrete tests such as slump, air content, and compressive strength Review and interpret blueprints and shop drawings to verify proper setup and dimensions Inspect incoming raw materials to ensure compliance with project requirements Accurately document inspections, test results, and any non-conformance issues using tablets or reporting software Communicate quality concerns to supervisors, production teams, and project personnel for corrective action Work collaboratively with production staff to maintain consistent quality control procedures Assist in identifying process improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency Cross-train in multiple inspection stages and assist team members as needed Maintain compliance with all safety standards and applicable regulations Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Experience with concrete inspection or construction quality control preferred Basic knowledge of concrete testing methods and standards (ASTM, ACI, etc.) is a plus Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Good communication and teamwork abilities Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a team environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

This position involves regular physical activity, including: Standing and walking for extended periods Frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds Working in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions Navigating uneven terrain, mud, and active construction or production areas
