In this role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing detailed estimates, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure our concrete construction projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure and commercial developments while honing your skills in construction estimating and project management. Responsibilities Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for concrete construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop accurate pricing models and bid proposals. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts that align with project budgets and objectives. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather on-site data, and verify project requirements for precise estimating. Assist in the development of project schedules and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall construction management plans. Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle by tracking expenses, managing change orders, and adjusting estimates as needed. Support contract negotiations and review contractual documents to ensure clarity on scope, costs, and responsibilities. Contribute to risk assessment processes by identifying potential cost overruns or delays related to concrete work or site conditions. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on concrete or heavy civil projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, site safety protocols, and project management principles. Familiarity with Bluebeam for document review and markup; HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability in negotiation skills for pricing and contract terms with vendors and subcontractors. Hands-on construction site experience providing insight into practical project execution challenges. Expertise in cost control techniques, budgeting, pricing strategies, and contract administration within the construction industry. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders involved in complex projects.
