Job description As a Concrete Finisher at Pessoa Construction Company, you will play a vital role in shaping our projects with precision and skill. As a heavy civil construction company, we do a variety of different types of concrete work. Some of the concrete work we do includes, but is not limited to, sidewalks, driveway, curbs, curb & gutters, retaining walls, traffic barriers, concrete paving, box culverts, concrete for bridges Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by leveling and compacting the ground. Pour concrete according to specifications and project requirements. Finish surfaces using hand tools or power tools to achieve desired textures and finishes. Install concrete forms to shape the concrete as needed for various projects. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing tasks on-site. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Perform heavy lifting as required during concrete placement and finishing processes. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Qualifications Proven experience as a Concrete Finisher or similar role in the civil construction industry. Strong knowledge of concrete forming techniques and finishing methods. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working on construction sites. Familiarity with construction estimating is a plus but not required. Basic understanding of plans related to construction projects is beneficial.
