Concrete Finisher - Mount Clemens, MI Competitive Company Benefits $25.00-32.00 per hour Local Projects Job Description Seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to add to our growing team to assist with various projects throughout Metro Detroit. This role is responsible for placing, finishing, and curing concrete on commercial, municipal, and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and contributes positively to a team-oriented work environment. Responsibilities Form, pour, and finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using tools such as floats, mixers, screeds, and trowels. Align forms and set braces to support sides of excavation. Smooth, level, and finish freshly poured concrete. Drive to specific construction sites, usually 30-45 minutes from Mt Clemens, occasionally up to an hour. Essential Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of concrete finishing experience. Experience with smoothing flat surfaces of concrete such as driveways, shop floors, and parking lots. Proficiency in applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure concrete surfaces. Experience waterproofing, damp-proofing, and restoring concrete surfaces. Ability to install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete. Proficiency using tools such as float, mixer, screed, edger, trowel, wedge bolt, 4' and 2' levels, 100' tape measure, and bolt cutters. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work takes place on commercial construction properties within an hour of Mt Clemens. The role involves both outdoor and some indoor work, requiring PPE such as vests, hard hats, and steel-toe boots. Expect variable weather conditions, including very hot environments. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fraser, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
